New Paris Restaurant @ SS2 PJ

Thursday, October 23, 2008

New Paris is a renowned restaurant located in SS2, was previously known as Paris Restaurant. It started out as a decrepit roadside wooden shed near Jasmine Towers with an insane amount of business in the late 1990s and a couple of years later, moved to a spanking new 3 units shoplots 4 storey high.

New Paris Restaurant is pretty cool is some ways. Service was very efficient. Upon approaching the entrance, staffs are already pouncing on you asking for how many people and what type of tables preferred. Otherwise you can make reservations before coming. Once seated, the captain waste no time in F1 speed to take orders (not friendly at all), always recommend the usual 'chew pai’ dishes.

There are few popular dishes which are strongly recommended:

1) Deep-fried taufoo topped with minced and preserved vegetables 2) Deep-fried soft shell crabs with special sauce 3) Champagne chicken 4) Fried pork trotters/knuckles 5) Kam heong lala and many more 6) Rice comes in a pot, and you can take as much as you like....which always makes the low-middle income earners happy
They provide very fast and efficient service. From order placement to food serve time will take only 10 minutes. All foods are reasonably priced. The most distinctive thing about New Paris Restaurant is the fact that they use layers of pink disposable plastic instead of table cloth and once your meal is done, the top-most layer of plastic gets wrapped up and disposed it. This is really an environmentalist's nightmare.

An all time favourite. Fells like Chinese Fast Food restaurant. Service is good and fast. Food is served in about 10 minutes.
