MAS Golden Club Class @ MH189 (KL to Male’)

Thursday, November 6, 2008

Golden Club Class received awards for the Best Airlines Signature Dish by Skytrax in 2002/2003.

The Golden Club Class offers a very warm ambiance and seats in Business Class allow passengers to sit or sleep; the seat also features the controls to the in-flight entertainment system and Skyphone. The Golden Club dinner can be a delight with a fine selection of wines. On most international flights, you can enjoy Malaysia Airlines' signature dish, Satay. These delicately spiced skewers of chicken, beef or lamb are grilled in the traditional manner on a charcoal fire and they are served with the condiments of cucumber and onions together with a spicy peanut sauce.
For this particular flight, for starter, you are able to enjoy their “Aloo Took”, is not very bad dish (oklar, but not a big fan of potato), a deep fried spiced mashed potato with tamarind sauce.
Main course is the “Pan Fried Red Snapper”, it blends with olive capers cream sauce accompanied by flavored dill, boiled potato, buttered asparagus and carrot (very tasty).
Lastly, the dessert “Nawabi Tukda” is an Indian delicacy a.k.a Indian Bread Pudding (not good at all, a total letdown).

Overall, Food in Malaysia Airlines has made enormous progress in the last few years, a new image, warm and friendly service, good food and attention to detail. This airline stills a second choice (behind Singapore Airline) for people travel outside Malaysia.

Again I must say, one must pay an exhorbitant fee to sample these food. Is it really really worth it? You rate it higher than some of the restaurants that serves some marvelous and REALLY 'mouthwatering' cuisines.
