Pak Li Kopitiam @ Dataran Sunway, Kota Damansara PJ

Wednesday, November 19, 2008

Nowadays, it’s quite difficult to find a kopitiam that serves good, authentic local food at affordable prices. It is considered that Pak Li Kopitiam has prioritized & achieved the customers’ needs and wants. Making their kopitiam, a clean, air-conditioning, hygienic and cozy place where people of all races can get together to enjoy local cuisine. Food price wise is almost as par if you compare with ordinary kopitiams/food stalls.
Should try, their Roti Bun Bakar (RM1.60) combined with their freshly-made Pandan Kaya instead of the normal plain Kaya, making this irresistible!
Then the Roti Bakar with Curry Chicken, the bread is crunchy and the chicken is quite goo actually, compliment well with each others.
Their Katong Laksa (RM4.90) is their signature dish and frankly, it’s not that bad with uniquely aromatic and subtlety spiced gravies.
As for the Lemon Chicken Rice (RM4.90)……………………………………………… Oklar………………. the chicken was dry and the sauce is juat plain lemon juice. No further comment.
The Hainanese Chicken Chop is affordable at RM8.90 and taste wise is good especially their sauce blended well with chilies and spices.
Point to note, it’s a nice hangout and the price you are paying is like almost like any other food stalls, it’s low and reasonable priced.

**Editor's Note (Mart): I just have to say this. Im a Hainanese (for real). BE CAUTION! The following notes will contain excessive blatant support for Hainanese, stop now if you dont want to puke. Hidden in WHITE. I was the one having the Hainan Chicken Chop. You cant deny the fact that it taste DAMN GOOD just by having the word "Hainan", as every Hainanese descendant would tell you their great great great great grandfather/mother is a cook (if ain't chances are you arent Hainanese =P). My grandfather was a cook for the president in China during his time (for real), although i didnt manage to his cooking but according to "legend", the president would only eat his cooking and only his. The Hainan Chicken Chop i had was simply delicious , top with the gracious sauce & wonderful aroma. Its a MUST try for every Hainanese including everyone. 10/10 from me LOL.

I had the Katong Laksa. It's nice but I'd prefer it with a little more salt.
