Just a few months ago, an odd shape empty lot located right next to Hang Ten (New Wing, One Utama), has transformed into an amazing garden restaurant with well-designed interior with a white grand piano as a center piece, artificial leaves falling from the ceiling to capture 'A Secret Garden's' theme, and artificial flowers to enhance the place with color and environment, Obviously, the restaurant is called Garden Lifestyle Store and Café. Patrons will sure to get a totally new experience on a different dining experience the moment they step into this café.

Patrons can enjoy meals and accompany with melodious tunes from a live performance by a pianist. Garden serves western and local food. Their chef does a fusion a little bit of Asian cooking style into their western menu.

First stop, the Apple Juice in Jug. Pricing wise is a bit on the high side; however, the juice is refreshing and freshly squeezed.
P1020638
The Homemade Wild Mushroom Soup, the soup is cooked with 3 types of mushroom with chicken broth. Mainly, the soup is delicious but portion is small.
P1020631
Next, the Braised Lamb Shank, braised in hours, then the chef serves it with mashed potato and appetizing spicy ratatouille. The gravy is great and goes well with the lamb, lamb is tender and juicy…..love it…
P1020644
The Spaghetti Carbonara, cooked with cream sauce and beef bacon then topped with shredded cheese….yummy…(but portion wise is small…..)
P1020647
Then the Deep Fried Breaded Chicken Cutlet, with cheddar cheese, French Fries and fresh garden salad topped with plenty of mushroom sauce. The chicken itself is tangy but it is too dry and texture is hard. Patrons will have hard time swallowing it.

In Garden, their main dessert is the Sorbet. Sorbet (pronounced sore-bay) is a frozen dessert made from sweetened water flavored with iced fruity (typically juice or puree), chocolate, wine, and/or liqueur. The origins of sorbet can be traced to a Middle Eastern drink charbet, made of sweetened fruit juice and water. Back to Garden, the Coconut Sorbet, they used an empty coconut shell as presentation. It’s good actually.

Hi MeiCee, the decor is really nice and I'm sure this is the place to enjoy your meal...as for the price they offered, yes, its abit above the average and the portion is small.

the carbonara was too dry for my taste... felt very thirsty after that. i think i prefer the carbonara from itallianies. the lamb was good though.
