A kopitiam is a place for a nice traditional breakfast and this coffee shop can be easily found in Malaysia and Singapore. The word is a portmanteau of the Malay word for coffee and the Hokkien dialect word for shop (: tiàm). Menu typically feature simple offerings: a variety of foods based on egg, toast and kaya, plus coffee, tea and Milo.

So for this Hometown Kopitiam which located in the Curve, is yet another new-age kopitiam that has swarmed the nation lately. The ambience brings back old memories of childhood in a kopitiam. In addition, this is a self service kopitiam. You have to order at the front counter. However, they offer less variety if you compare to other Kopitiam such as Hometown toast, roti bakar, Omega half boiled eggs, Hometown Tong Sui, Chee Cheong Fun, Nasi Lemak, Hometown Mee Siam, Mee Jawa and Nyonya Laksa.

The Chee Cheong Fun is only so so (average), it is believe that patrons would eat somewhere else than here.

As usual, the good old Hometown Kopitiam toast, it comes perfectly lightly toasted with lots of yummy butter & kaya…nice…

Then the Omega Half Boiled Eggs, nothing to complain here and nicely done.
