It is under the roof of the Unique Seafood group in PJ. Unique Fisherman, a branch has opened in Cheras about 2 years ago.

Just like its other sister restaurant, Pantai Seafood restaurants in Kayu Ara, the outlet in Cheras also has aquariums and tanks with live fish, lobsters, oysters, crabs and other exotic seafood that are not easily found in other restaurants. Price is reasonable too for a mid-range seafood restaurant. It is a non-halal restaurant and it’s a 2 storey restaurant. You can choose between the air-conditioned section and the open air section. During crowded times, most likely patrons will need to sit at the ground floor as special functions like wedding/birthday dinner will held at upstairs. There are ample carparks at the back of the restaurant, so patrons would not need to worry much about it.

First introducing this Claypot Style Seafood Beancurd, the gravy is quite appetizing and eat it with plain dry white rice will appreciate it better. The tofu or beancurd is homemade and it’s smooth and texture is nice.

The Steam Oysters with fried garlic and spring onions, basically the chef used the method of steaming to let patrons to taste the freshness of the oysters. It’s very nice actually…

Next, the Steam “Soon Hock”, live from the fish tank, the fish is fresh and the meat is bouncy. In fact the fish tastes quite yummy.. And the sauce is good especially eaten with rice.

The Steam Prawns and Eggs, as said earlier, using the method of steaming, it’s actually to enhance the freshness of the prawns. And with eggs surrounding the prawns, it absorbs the prawn flavor into the eggs. Nice!

Stir Fried Scallops with Broccoli, the dish is very tangy. No complain here…
P1020817
Next, the Cantonese Seafood Kuey Teow, with the flat rice noodles, here the gravy is very tasty. Slightly sweetish, the serving here is pretty generous with prawns, sliced squids and vegetables making it a pretty substantial meal.
