Salsas Restaurant @ Georgetown, Penang

Monday, February 9, 2009

Salsas Restaurant is located at the junction of Farquhar Street and Upper Penang Road, next to Continental Hotel. The setting of the restaurant is just warm and cozy. It’s right for a loving couple to have a romantic dinner. The restaurant has full glass window and able to view the traffic on the busy Upper Penang Road, with tourists passing by. Salsas is quite famous and usually packed. So please remember to make advance booking before you decided to pay a visit.
Set meals at Salsas are the essence of what Penangites love best - cheap and good food. Definitely patrons can get value for money while enjoying excellent meals. Service here is efficient as food come out pretty quickly and very friendly waiter.

Starter, the Fresh Mushroom Crème Soup, it’s pretty creamy, smooth….nice.
Next, the Pumpkin Soup is a unique dish and quite rich with pumpkin and definitely a must to order.
As for the Fresh Prawn Salad, on dice cucumber and tomato salsa, and fresh salad leaves with balsamico dressing….delicious and refreshing.
For the main course, there is the Fettuccine with Chicken in Tomato Sauce. It’s sweet and tangy and sure will be back for more.
The same thing as above, the Spaghetti with Chicken in Tomato Sauce.
The Spaghetti with Chicken in Olive Oil top with fresh basil, a very tasty dish…..yum yum
The Grill Beef Tenderloin (200g) comes with mushroom sauce, bake potatoes and fresh vegetables. The meat is very tender and juicy. Every bite is irresistible and mouthwatering.
Then the dessert, the presentation is good. The dessert make up with three items, freshly baked rich cake topped with delicious cream and biscuits, finely cut fruits mixed in syrup and topped with strawberry and creamy vanilla ice-cream that melts in your mouth…..yum yum…
