Full House Lifestyle Store and Café @Nui Ze Xui, Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya

Tuesday, January 6, 2009

Most people might hear of this place similar to the one in Singapore called “Niu Ze Xui” in Mandarin or “Ngau Zhe Shuey” in Cantonese. It is a concept of open-air commercial centre whereby you can shop, dine and exhibit events for people of all ages. The covered boulevard which provides a cozy outdoor shopping experience, lively entertainment and venues for fine dining. It’s similar like Petaling Street “Chee Cheong Gai” but it’s absolutely cleaner and nicer environment with lots of parking spaces and air-conditioned.
Full House Lifestyle Store and Café is one of the main attractions in “Niu Ze Hui” and many patrons have been talking about this café since the opening. Full house lifestyle store and cafe is inspired by the Korean Drama: Full house. Full House shares this concept of dining with several options of household decorative up for your grabs. Many types of house decorative items are sold in this store. They have all sort of cute collectible key chains, photo frames, dolls, umbrella, candles, clocks, antique telephones, jugs and etc. You would miss this café, because the most eye-catching decor is the cute mini cooper at the front of the store cum café.
For the start, their menu is very creative, cute and unique. Patrons will definitely enjoy flipping through it.
Full House offers a range of drinks in their menu and mostly is quite good. Refer to the picture below, the Cappuccino Ice Blended is basically good, Passion Fruit Green Tea is very refreshing, Honey Milk Tea is coolly, Milk Tea Milk Shake is like Teh Ice with Ice Cream (Clockwise) and lastly, the Banana Milk Shake is filling & unique (Centre).
Next, the Cream of Chicken Soup is a bit of……a kinda….bland and watery actually. It’s a total failure.
As for the Full House Club Sandwich, it fill with grilled chicken, crispy bacon, turkey ham and cheese on toasted bread. Portion wise is big and for the price they are offering, it’s worth every penny.
The Wok Sear Chicken Chop is stated as an all-time favorite in their menu. The chicken is seared and placed on a bed of mashed potatoes, blanched carrots and vegetable before being drizzled with this brown sauce cooked with raisins. Quite an interesting twist to the flavors as it was slight sweet, savory and tangy at the same time.
The Breaded Chicken Chop. The size of the Chicken is quite big as they used a whole thigh. It’s very nice and crispy. The coleslaw also had bits of raisins in it (Nice!!).
The Charbroiled Rib Eye Steak, the chef cooks the rib eye steak to well-done or near there so that the steak can maintain the tenderness. It also does not dry out the steak. Same way the chef cooks the Wok Sear Chicken Chop, placed on a bed of mashed potatoes, blanched carrots and vegetable and then drizzled with this brown sauce cooked with raisins (Nice too!).
Overall, the food is just normal. The ambiance is just right for couples who love to dine in and have a casual yet romantic night, as well as a bunch of buddies who likes to hang out together, have a drink and take pictures.

Full House is much better than the Garden in 1U. Food and ambiance wise are well good.

2013 May 25 The dory fish and mushroom soup pass the taste test done by my grandma. Whereas, the mushroom soup and the bits of ham with mushroom spaghetti was perfect for my uncle. Possible if only Fullhouse did regularly update the menu online it won't confuse the current customers with the last month menu offering free cake.
2013 June 23 Soup of the Day is really unknown tasted like creamy Chicken soup and Broccoli aftertaste. Whereas, Teriyaki Chicken Burger failed my taste test should have automatically absorb the sauce into the chicken patty.
