Tony Roma’s Restaurant @ Cineleisure PJ
Tuesday, October 28, 2008
Tony Roma started way back in 1972 in North Miami when he opened his first place. That day Tony threw some Baby Back Ribs on the grill and the rest is history. Note that Tony Roma's is famous for their baby ribs (pork). After the management's consideration, the company (who holds right to the franchise) made the Tony Roma's outlet in Malaysia as a Halal outlet. There are both pros and cons to this, as the legendary pork ribs will not be served but Malaysian get to dine in with our friends from all races.
As said earlier, Tony Roma’s famous for its ribs when you go through their menu. Recommended to have the Bountiful Beef Ribs (Roma Rack, 3 pieces). The ribs is marinated with their special sauce and grilled until tender. It's just nice, smoky with fork-tender meat. The side dishes were wonderful, with complements with a jacket potato and ranch style beans (really good). Their starter dish, Fried onion loaf was not bad, nice and crispy. Tony Roma’s setup is a fairly standard setting for a western style restaurant, plenty of wood, quite comfortable. Plus, credits must make known to the friendly staff, they have excellent services that make us feel like home.
Overall, it is definitely little more upscale place if you compare to TGI or Chilies. The portion looked a little small for the price but the ribs were excellent quality.
