Teh Tarik Place @ 1 Utama, Petaling Jaya
Sunday, February 1, 2009
Teh Tarik Place is located in a hidden corner near the Rainforest session. Its consider one of the cheapest place to have your meals in 1 Utama.
This is a mamak stall that has more of a cafe aspect, being well lit and furnished with wooden tables and comfort seats. They also provide free wi-fi service. Interestingly, most modern mamak stalls attempt to retain the charm of open air dining by setting up tables on a patio. Nevertheless, Teh Tarik Place provides a casual ambiance and affordable food to shoppers who need a place to unwind or socialize.
As usual, this restaurant also offers in teh tarik, Milo, Kopi, Nescafe & etc. Beside, they have different varieties of roti canai, varieties of rice, such as nasi lemak and nasi goreng (fried rice), as well as noodle dishes such as mee goreng (fried noodles). In addition, they provide a value combo set lunch, something like economic rice.
The Mee Goreng Mamak is quite ok thought, ingredients are pretty much the same as any mamaks offer. Still, it’s delicious.
Roti Canai (normal), best about here is that it is freshly cook once ordered. Unlike others, they prepare a dozen of it and leave it aside.
