At the Curve, patrons can visit Marché which is a totally fresh concept in dining pioneered by Mővenpick in Europe 1983. Marché (pronounced ‘Mar-Shay’) is an extravaganza – a hive of culinary and market activity where the only constant is change. It abounds with color from the mountains of produce, baked goods, meats, fish, pastries, fruits and other foods.

Their décor concept is mainly focus on colorful tiles, flagstone flooring, bright awnings and ceiling hangings, barrels, baskets and wagons create the flavor of a bustling European market.

Marché opens its doors every day at 11.00am and virtually everything you see in the restaurant are raw foods, prepared foods and ingredients are freshly pick. All breads and pastries are fresh baked continuously. Wherever possible, produce, meats and seafood are fresh from the market. Pasta/steak is prepared right in front of your eyes.

Before entering, patron will be given a “Market Passport”. This passport is required when patron need selected their food then stamped and later settled with the cashier as they leave the restaurant. Remember not to lost it, or else you will receive a RM200 penalty, which will then be donated to a charity of your choice. So patron can wander around different market stands and freely select whatever food that appeals to them. You get to see for yourself the freshness and quality of the produce; smell what’s baking in the ovens; hear the food sizzling; and watch the food being prepared right in front of your eyes, fresh from the “market”.

Service wise, the Marché employees are very friendly and very helpful. They’ll constantly change patrons’ plate right after they have finished their food.

At the juice stand, patrons can choose any fruits they desire (fruits are fresh and nice).

1
The Lamb Shank, this dish is quite good. The meat is very tender and cooks with herbs and spices, even the gravy is so tasty without the lamb shank.

Next, the Rosti. It is a national dish for Switzerland. Rosti is a traditional Swiss dish made of freshly grated potatoes, pan fried until golden brown (oklar).

The Chicken Fusilli Paste with Cream Sauce/Tomota Sauce. Both pasta is tangy and patrons who love pasta, Marché would not disappoint you.

For steak stand, the grill chicken steak, grill lamb steak and the grill beef sausage. No doubt each dish is very fresh. But the sauce/gravy is got a lot more to improve.

They also serve vegetable tempura (it’s another oklar dish). And the Chicken Salad is not bad too.

As for dessert, since it is operated by Mővenpick, patrons should try their ice-cream. There is no complain…..mmmm, Nice! And for the Brownie, the cake is quite dry but taste wise is ok.

Overall, the key to the Marché concepts is the collection of market tables and stations where daily specials are prepared and cooked. Its fun to discuss techniques and recipes with the chef’s and you can actually buy raw ingredients and others to take home with you if you wish. (After all, Marché is a market too!).
