La Bodega @ Bangsar Shopping Centre, Kuala Lumpur

Previously, a review has been done on the La Bodega Deli. So for this particular posting, it is about the other Brand “La Bodega” which located in Bangsar Shopping Centre. Most notable, this branch is set at the main entrance to the Bangsar Shopping Centre. La Bodega @ BSC is the ambassador to its big sister down the road in Bangsar Baru. In here, they offer the signature “Tapas” menu together with the sumptuous addition of the most popular picks from the La Bodega Deli menu.
Tapas is the name of a wide variety of appetizers in Spanish cuisine. They may be cold (such as mixed olives and cheese) or warm (such as puntillitas, which are battered, fried baby squid). In many countries, tapas have evolved into an entire cuisine. Patrons in La Bodega can order many different tapas and combine them to make a full meal.
For Tapas, you can try the “Champinones Al Ajillo” which is button mushrooms sautéed in olive oil and garlic. The taste is buttery and tangy.
“Gambas Paco Alcalde” is prawns in an “Andalusia style” spicy garlic & tomato sauce. The prawns are fresh and unique in taste. Patrons surely would ask for more (Delicious!).
Spaghetti ala Polpette De Pollo, is quite a good dish. The chef uses chicken to make fine meatballs and then braised in tomato.
Penne Chicken Pasta is for patrons that like to eat spicy tomato sauce. Overall, it is tasty.
