Sri Thai Restaurant is located right opposite PJ Hilton and this place is one of the established and favorable to many patrons for many years. Sri Thai offers sumptuous Thai gourmet in a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. It got a retro-feel. Every dish is served with exquisite crockery and fine cutlery made with tradition in mind but quite pricey.
Tom yum is a soup originating from Thailand. It is perhaps one of the most famous dishes in Thai Cuisine. It is widely served in neighboring countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, and has been popularized around the world. In Sri Thai, their Tom Yam Soup has its distinct hot and sour flavors, with fragrant herbs and consists of prawns, chicken, fish and squid. Their broth is made of stock and fresh ingredients such as lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, shallots, lime juice, fish sauce, tamarind, slices of ginger and crushed chili peppers.
Pandan chicken, or (gai ob bai toey), is a Thai dish with chicken wrapped in pandan leaves and fried. The chicken is very tender and flavorful. Yummmmmyyy…
Next dish, the Siamese Steamed Fish. The Fish is fresh and taste a bit tangy, sour and spicy. The gravy is alright and oklar.
Fried Fish Pancake, the fish is marinated with herbs and spices then deep fried in hot wok. Tender, juicy and scrumptious.
Stir-Fried Broccoli with Mushroom, this dish is delicious and it’s nice.
Thai-Style Omelet, got lot of chili and just a simple and normal dish.
Thai-Style Otak-Otak, their chef mixing up the fish paste with a mixture of spices including chilies, garlic, shallots, turmeric, lemon grass and coconut milk. The mixture is then wrapped in a banana leaf that has been softened by steaming. Taste wise is very nice actually, texture is soft and tasty.
Tab Tim Grob (Red Rubies), a Thai dessert, combine with sugar syrup, coconut milk and rose, then scoop a couple of spoonfuls of the water chestnuts fill it with coconut milk mixture. Before serving to patrons, add some ice and serve immediately. Tasty!
