(Chilly Pan Mee) Super Kitchen Restaurant @ Dataran Sunway, Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya
Friday, December 5, 2008
There are plenty of restaurants and cafés located in Dataran Sunway and the areas do have many cuisines to choose from. If you are in for a bowl of noodle and spicy dish, then you should go try the Chilly Pan Mee in Super Kitchen Restaurant. The ambiance is quite comfortable with air-con and non air-con sections.
Their Pan Mee is a mound of thick round noodles (very chewy), garnish with ikan bilis, chopped scallion, a wee bit of table sugar, pork sliced and chopped, and tiny cubes of cracklings’, all crowned by a snow-white poached egg (half-boiled egg).
Their Chilly Pan Mee is serves without chilly and you have to add the chilly yourself from the bottle of chilly provided. The dried chili paste is placed separately in containers on every table. You are free to add in whatever amount that you think you can handle. It can be very spicy. And then, all you need to do is mix everything together included the dried chili paste. Luckily, their chili is not oily. Overall, the taste is great.
If you order the dry version, they’ll serve pork balls soup.
However, the portion is very small. You tend to order a second bowl (maybe this is their marketing strategic). From the menu, they didn't have much drinks selection. Only canned drinks, teh/coffee and ‘leong’ cha.
