Hong Kong Kim Gary Restaurant @ Sunway Pyramid, Bandar Sunway

Kim Gary Restaurant is a Hong Kong-style eating outlet and has a chain of restaurants around Asia. Kim Gary has setup a number of chain restaurants around KL and PJ - Sunway Pyramid, Sg. Wang, Mid Valley, The Curve and Gurney Plaza, Penang.

At this Sunway Pyramid branch, the restaurant is always packed especially during lunch hour, high-tea, late evening tea, dinner time and even supper……hhmmm, basically full all day long. You have to know the best time to have your meal here so that you do not have to queue up for your seat. The décor is pretty outstanding as they are using purple as their theme color and lots of pictures of Bosco Wong (Hong Kong Actor) who is their ambassador. Ordering food is such a enjoyment, because their menu is insane, with so many varieties. You won’t even know on which paper/menu you should order your food.

Here, its “Ying Yong” (mixture of milk-tea and coffee) is the signature drink here (even though some would opt for its Hong Kong Milk Tea). It’s very smooth and rich in milk-tea flavor.

The French Toast is also one of their main selling point. The slices of bread are dipped in egg and fried to perfect golden brown. This sinful dish would definitely left an unforgettable memory on your palate. French Toast is served with an appropriate amount of honey or condensed milk spread all over it. Not forgetting the huge chunk of melting butter on top of the succulent toast.

Cheese Baked Rice with Pork Chop. The cheese used was actually mozzarella cheese and for some patrons, it would be a bit difficult to eat because of the aluminum foil (as based). Still, it is pretty good and very filling…..(yum yum).

The Fried Spaghetti with Steak is not a bad. Portion is more than average. Steak is tender & tangy and spaghetti is ok.

The Hokkien Fried Noodle is alright, is not that it is not good. It just lack of OOMPH.

Overall, this place is always crowded (be prepare to wait in line) and price quite reasonable. It is worth visit every once in a while.
