Taiwan Noodles House Restaurant @ SS2, Petaling Jaya
Thursday, December 4, 2008
This particular restaurant looks exactly like what you would expect in any typical Chinese coffee shops here. In this area, they are the only one that serves Taiwanese styled noodle. It is a simple shop and the prices are (ok, ok) reasonable, they don’t have much varieties in their menu but it is believe that most people come here for the pork chop noodles (dry version). Every noodle dish on the menu comes in 2 versions; a soup based version and a dry version.
Although the presentation of the dish is just average, their noodles are fairly flat variety, bouncy and smooth, served with some dark sauce and topped with minced meat and some spring onions, complimenting some good chili paste and a very crispy pork chop (tender and served on the bone and sliced into bite sized pieces). The chili is good and not spicy (goes well with their pork chop).
Their Chicken Chop also not bad.
Taiwan Noodle House is not a bad place to go for some Taiwanese styled noodles. Price is fair. At night, they serve western food and curry fish head as well (will review next time….).
