Mee Papan Restaurant @ Dataran Sunway, Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya

This particular restaurant called Mee Papan, direct translation is “Timber Noodle” (hahahaha….). You must be thinking to yourself whether their noodle is as hard as timber. The ambiance of this restaurant is quite pleasant, warm and welcoming feeling to patrons. They have 2 sections, the inner restaurant is air-conditioned and outer section is smoking area.
Their specialty, of course, is “Pan Mee”. It is a freshly made flour noodle which you don’t find all those preservative in other noodles. It's a complete meal with freshly made noodles in ikan bilis (anchovy) broth serve with soup, dry, curry or fried based. They called their dish the “Chef’s Pan Mee”.
Their dry version of Pan Mee is quite nice especially the thickness of the noodle is thick. Mee Papan didn’t shy away from giving more shallot crisps, mushroom, dried seaweed, shredded meat, vegetable and dried anchovies compare to what you can get from any Pan Mee Stalls. Overall, it’s good.
As for the Chef’s Fried Pan Mee, it’s also quite tangy. Something like Char Kuey Teow, but without using the rice noodle, they use Pan Mee instead.
